POLYCHROME SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH WITH SHIP PORTRAIT AND OTHER IMAGES

Obverse depicts a three-masted vessel with a nicely rendered billethead and distinct reef points. Climbing floral vines on edges. Reverse depicts an angel holding a book above a floral wreath and an open "Holy Bible". Floral vine borders encircle the tip and base. Fine use of colored pigments.
Length 5.5".
Condition: Base cut flat. Age lines at tip and base. Glue and sticker residue, mostly on base.
