Signed and dated lower right "A. Jacobsen 1891 705 Palisade Av. West Hoboken, NY".
Oil on canvas, 22" x 36". Framed 29" x 43".
Condition: Overall excellent condition. Under white light there is apparent (stable) craquelure, the canvas is unlined and under UV examination there are no apparent in-paint or restoration. The painting would benefit from relining, a light cleaning and some fresh varnish.

    The sail/steam schooner
    Alabama was built at Harlan & Hollingsworth at Wilmington, Delaware for W.D. Munson of New York in 1873. She went out of service in 1901.
