ARCHIVE OF MUHAMMAD ALI MATERIAL INCLUDING MORE THAN 100 SIGNED AND NUMBERED MUHAMMAD ALI COLOR LITHOGRAPHS

Incredible run of rare prints of Muhammad Ali including 35 prints each of "Muhammad Ali -- Sting Like a Bee", "Guiding Light", "Mosque II" and "Under the Sun", for a total of 140. Each signed and numbered variously out of their editions of 500. Each in very good, clean condition. Also includes archival photographs, original World Federation of United Nations Associations documents, slides, books, etc., as well as film reels documenting Ali's visits to the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid as part of his ongoing efforts to use his fame for humanitarian causes, specifically against racial inequality. Reels include his famous address April 4, 1978, at which he delivered the "A Man is his Heart" speech to advocate for peace and racial justice; an address April 13, 1979 where he spoke of his and the world's commitment to peace and spirituality; from when he donated the painting "Peace!" to the committee and then Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim; and from when he famously stated "Here's a little Black boy from Louisville, Kentucky, sitting in the United Nations talking to presidents of the world, why? Because I'm a good boxer... So, my purpose is to use boxing to get to people". Ali was later designated a UN Messenger of Peace in 1998.
The prints are color lithographs, sheets 22" x 26". Unframed.
