(b. 1785 d. 1852) Given by him to Franklin Dexter (1793-1837)" and "Written by Mrs. Franklin Dexter (1799-1891)". Other note: "Doctor Benjamin Franklin of New England in North America 17th April 1790 - a genuine & good likeness", with additional illegible or lost text. Housed in an antique gilt frame.
