The "Mars" was built in Newburyport in 1823. Weight 256 tons. Length 95 feet. George Allen was the Master in 1883. Partly owned by C.H. Gifford. The bark "Falcon" was built in Medford in 1817. Weight 285 tons. Length 100 feet. Abandoned in 1895. P.Handy was the Captain in 1887. Owned by Thomas Knowles. [Illustrated].
