SCRIMSHAW WHALE'S TOOTH WITH FINE BUST PORTRAITS

One side depicts a man and the other side a woman. Incredibly delicate renderings with exceptional shadowing. Unique placement on the tooth, with the tip of the tooth below the portraits rather than above.
Length 6".
Condition: Typical age lines. Base cut flat, with some minor chips, age lines and cracks, the longest crack extending approx. 1.75" into woman's portrait.
