SIX SIGNED OR INSCRIBED INDEPENDENCE DAY ORATIONS
1) Oration delivered July the Fourth, 1810, at the Request of the Selectmen of Boston, on the Feelings, Manners, and Principles, that Produced American Independence by Alexander Townsend. Boston: John Eliot, 1810. Inscribed in ink on cover "Josh A. Davis with the writer's compts" [sic].
2) Mr. Prescott's Oration by Edward G. Prescott, "an Oration delivered before the Officers of the Militia, and Members of the Volunteer Companies of Boston and the Vicinity on the Fourth of July, 1832". Boston: John H. Eastburn, 1832. Inscribed and signed in ink on cover "Col. Francis Peabody with the Compliments of E.G.P".
3) An Address Delivered before the Democratic Citizens of Plymouth County, Massachusetts, at East Abington, July 4, 1839 by Seth J. Thomas. Boston: Beals and Green, 1839. Inscribed in ink on cover "Hon. Daniel Heathaw[?] with the author's regards".
