2) "By His Excellency Samuel Ward King, Governor, Captain General and Commander-in-Chief of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations." Presents President Tyler's letter of April 11, 1842, committing U.S. troops to defend Rhode Island from the Dorrites. Woodcut illustration of the Rhode Island state seal. 20" x 11.5".

6) "Writings of Judge Pitman." Comments on the 1811 bill to extend suffrage; the bill passed in the Senate but was postponed in the House. 15.5" x 11".

7) "Citizens of Rhode-Island! Read! Mark! Learn!" Dated Providence, February 18, 1842. Claims "To support the so-called 'People's Constitution' is Treason against the State." 21.25" x 10.5".

8) "Vinton's Address, on the Reception of the Newport Artillery, By Their Townmen, On Thursday, May 19, 1842 at 3 o'clock p.m." Printed by Benjamin F. Moore, Providence. 19.5" x 11.75".

9) "A Sensible Conclusion. Letter of Jonah Titus, Esq." Dated Scituate, April 15th, 1842. Addressed to "Gov. King" and references President Tyler's letter. 11" x 8".
10) "Let It Be Remembered". Double-sided, with seven columns of text on each side. One side with three illustrations: the Rhode Island seal, a spread-wing eagle with shield, arrows and olive branches, and a row of six pointing hands. 24.5" x 19".
