THREE ASSORTED FANS
1) Late 19th Century pierced brisé fan, possibly horn. Finely pierced design of flowering vines on blond sticks and guards. Sticks also with gold-painted design of flowers spanning mid-area (very worn). Length 6". 2) Circa 1860 black satin and wood mourning fan. Sticks with finely pierced screen-like design overlaid with a flower and spangles. Heavily sequined satin leaf. Mother-of-pearl washer. Shaped loop. Length 14'. 3) 19th Century parchment and mother-of-pearl folding fan, possibly Italian. Front side of leaf illustrates a possibly Biblical scene with Roman soldiers, elders and a court lady. Reverse shows two ladies overlooking a canal and distant landscape. Pierced, gilt and colored sticks with painted fruit and seashells. Carved, pierced and colored guards with inlay of metal.

Condition: 1) Brise fan re-ribboned and painted design very worn. 3)Very rough shape with broken guard and split leaf.
