WHALEBONE AND EBONY WATER CASK WITH SCRIMSHAW DECORATION

Constructed of alternating bone and ivory staves, bone heads and copper hoops. Ebony bung hole plug. One bone stave engraved with a small port-view portrait of a vessel at sea.
Length 6.75". Includes stand.
Condition: Hoops loose from cask, some missing rivets holding them together. Some staining of whalebone from hoops. Staves don't perfectly align.
