Cover with wear at corners and crown and heel of spine. Hinges cracked and binding threads visible throughout much of text. Foxing, primarily on top edge. Owner's markings. 3) Kemp, Dixon, Manual of Yacht and Boat Sailing. London: Horace Cox, 1900. Ninth edition. Revised and partly re-written by B. Heckstall Smith. Thoroughly illustrated with drawings, schematics, etc., some folding. Very thick Q. Blue boards with gilt lettering on spine. Deckled edges. Cover worn, particularly at corners and heel and crown of spine. Hinges cracked and repaired with tape, but overall a solid volume, especially given its size. Inscribed on fly 'To Captain C[?] of the Yacht 'Rambler' this [?] is presented by the 'Mate'. Nov. 3rd 1900.'
